                                                             The Art        

            When my cousin plans to take art major, her parents disagree with her. My cousin’s parents said, “You have to take other major like engineering or business because those majors are better for you to get a good life in the future.” My cousin responded, “Art is noble which has a wonderful melody and includes simple of true line.” With the art, we can express our mind easier.

 My cousin who prefers to draw art even though her parents disagree her to learn to draw. Her parents think that it is not relate to the major that her parents want her to take. However, she still insists on learning the art. She said, “ Art is very useful because there are a lot of beautiful historic scenes or personal portrait that are relying on art to hand down.” Painting not only gives her pleasure, also can convey her emotion. When she was happy, she would use color strokes to draw down how happy she was. When she was unhappy, she would wipe off her bad mind by using the painting pigment. I agree with my cousin’s insistence.  Under her influence, I am from an uninformed reader to understand what the art is. I have learned that the art is not only using the drawing pen to draw pictures, but also can use many kinds of tools to paint beautiful pictures which means there are many lots of styles art. In order to make more people know about and be interested in the art, I will list the most common styles of the art.

            OIL PAINTING: The most of this style’s works come from western countries. The Oil Painting has to use special oil paints and canvas materials because it can make the works be brighter and can be kept for a long time. When we draw the oil painting, it has two ways to tint pictures. The first way is called transparent cladding process, which uses the pigment of the toner oil dilution to draw many times at the first level.  After the color of the fist level is dried, we can color the next level. When the work is done, we can see all level’s colors, and each of the level’s color is thin, which forms a

magnificent picture. The second way is named opaque cover color law, which is similar to the first way. Nevertheless, the difference between them is that the shape and thickness are not the same and that needs to wait for a long time until the color of the first level is very dry. Then we can continue to do the next step so that it can increase the color saturation of the screen.

            TCP (Traditional Chinese Painting):  It is the one of the art styles, but it is different from the oil painting. When people draw the Traditional Chinese Painting, they have to use some tools and materials which are brushes, ink, painting pigments, and xuan paper. The painter who wants to draw TCP should conceive a well draft in his/her mind so that he/she can prevent to pain any wrong strokes. Traditional Chinese Painting itself has   obvious features.  Comparing to the oil painting, painters often use the TCP style to draw some landscapes, human figures, flowers and plants, and birds. The TCP does not care much about the colors and the lightness of the natural objects. However, the TCP emphasizes the expression of authors’ emotion and ideas. From the Traditional Chinese Painting, we can always see the spectacular landscape views.

            SAND PAINTING: Sand Painting, combining with music through the projector to show on the screen, is also called Dynamic Sand Painting. Ferenc Cake, the famous sand painting master, who created the sand painting was from Hungary in earlier years. In recent years, Sand Painting more often appears on the stage performances. The painters can always finish the work in a short time, and they always make audiences feel surprised. Sand Painting uses the sand to paint the scene in the white backdrop, and it can be presented in anywhere by anytime. For instance, if someone marries, the sand painting can share the bride and the bridegroom’s love stories with visitors at the wedding. What’s more, Sand Painting can attract the audience to enter a great and dreamlike scene, so they can feel like they are seeing the scene in the real world, which can make them enjoy the special feelings. All in all, Sand painting enriches our lives.

            SKETCH:  Sketch is the earliest art in the history of mankind, and it is the oldest artistic language. Sketch is the foundation of the art, and it emphasizes the lines and the important model structures such as buildings, machines, and some weapons.  The tools for the Sketch are very simple, which we only need the pencils and papers. However, how we draw the lines are very difficult if we want to draw perfect works. Moreover, when we draw some other styles art, Sketch is the basic step of arts. Therefore, if we didn’t learn well to the Sketch, we would not learn other of the art smooth.

            There are lots of different styles of the art, and each of them has its own unique painting method. With the art, our lives can be more interesting,   and we can find out the special language that can convey our emotion. Although they have their own painting way, they all have the noble characters.
